By accessing or using our Site or Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.
- Use of the Website and Services
The Site provides information about our psychotherapy services, which include but are not limited to:– Individual, couples and family psychotherapy
– Teletherapy (secure video sessions and phone therapy)

Not a Substitute for Emergency Care: The information on this Site and our Services are not a substitute for emergency medical or mental health care. If you are in crisis, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis hotline (e.g., Suicide Crisis Line: 9-8-8).
No Guarantee of Outcomes: Psychotherapy results vary by individual. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy, groups, or workshops.
Therapist-Client Relationship: A professional relationship is only established after completing an intake process and consent forms. Simply contacting us does not create this relationship.
- Teletherapy (Video & Phone Sessions)
If you engage in virtual therapy sessions, you agree to:
– Ensure you have read, fully understood, and signed the Informed Consent document prior to engaging in therapy.
– Use a secure, private internet connection (public Wi-Fi is discouraged).
– Ensure your device meets the technical requirements for the telehealth platform (Noustalk).
– Maintain confidentiality: You are responsible for conducting sessions in a private location where others cannot overhear.
– Acknowledge risks: While we use encrypted platforms, no digital communication is 100% secure.
- Therapeutic Groups & Workshops
By participating in groups or workshops, you agree to:
Ensure you have read, fully understood, and signed the Informed Consent document prior to engaging in the group.
Respect confidentiality: What is shared in the group must not be discussed outside of it.
Follow group guidelines: Disruptive or harmful behavior may result in removal without refund.
Payment & Attendance: Some groups require pre-registration and fees. Late cancellations may incur charges (see Cancellation Policy with your Group Registration).
- Privacy Policy
Your privacy is protected under our Privacy Policy, which complies with:
– Canada’s PIPEDA
– BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
– Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA)
- Intellectual Property
All content on this Site (including but not limited to content, photographs, workshop materials, handouts, and resources) is owned by The Sereda Psychotherapy Group and is protected under Canadian copyright laws. Unauthorized sharing, copying, or distribution is prohibited.

- Fees, Cancellations & Refunds
Payment: Fees for sessions, groups, or workshops are due as outlined at booking.
Late-cancellation and no-show policy is outlined in the informed consent and is specific to the service.

We are not liable for:
– Technical issues disrupting teletherapy (e.g., internet outages).
– Personal decisions are made based on information provided in therapy or workshops.
- Third-Party Links
The Site may link to external resources (e.g., mental health websites). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
- Termination
We reserve the right to terminate access to Services for safety concerns, non-payment, or violations of these Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Ontario.
